Yes! It is true – I am preggers 🙂 Last month (before we knew) I changed my goals around and started training hard, but I was feeling so off. Then I found myself nearly passing out at the gym. I tried to tweak my pre-workout diet with fruit or grains, but to no avail. Then…lo and behold…I found out I was pregnant!
I got the go ahead from my doc for running and lifting so now that the nausea has subsided I am back in the groove! Workouts are a bit different since I have to keep my heart rate lower, but other than that I am doing pretty much the same thing as usual.
I have developed a meal plan for this trimester (which really is no different than my pre-pregnancy diet), which I will post later.

Congrats! Love that you are continuing to workout during your pregnancy, it will inspire a lot of women!
Just a heads up though, you don’t really have to worry about keeping your heart rate much lower during pregnancy. You’ll need to be vigilant about listening to your body and slowing down if you feel dizzy or sick, but in general your body will tell you how hard to push… it will change day to day! The whole 140 beats per minute thing isn’t true.
Just wanted to add my two cents. Hope you don’t mind!
Take care and good luck!

I LOVE the input – THANK YOU!!! If you have more, please share!!
Yes, I recently found out about the MYTH of the heart rate! I was so excited, but you are totally right…sick or tired – seems to change every single day!! It’s hard trying to switch gears to “listening to my body” rather than the “push through it” mentality. Having loads of fun (in spite of the I’m-about-to-toss-my-cookies feeling :P)
